Kevin is currently attending BYU-I for fall semester before he leaves on his mission. He finally got his mission call yesterday. He is going to the Poland Warsaw mission and reports on January 7th, 2009, in Provo, Utah. He is very excited! He is looking forward to the adventure! He will be learning the Polish language while in the MTC.
We received his mission call here at home and we sent it overnight to BYU-Idaho. Surrounded by roommates and friends and family on web-cam, he opens his call. Check it out!

This is so exciting! We were all talking about it this past weekend while my parents and Mike and John were up here. Congratulations, Kevin! You will be an awesome missionary! Welcome to the blogging world too! Yours is really cute!
Hahaha- I remember when I got my mission call my dad hid it for three days because my mom was out of town, and they wanted me to wait until the whole family was together for me to open it. To get even I stayed out late the night they wanted to open it. When I did read the letter, I was sitting next to Will on the couch, and I read the whole thing out loud except for what mission I'd be going to, and I only showed it to him. Only after I finished the whole letter did I go back and have Will announce what mission I was going to.
That is such a cool video!! Kevin will be a great Missionary!! I imagine Christmas presents will all be missionary themed this year for him!! So much fun!! Congratulations!!
What an amazing mission call! Brandon and I are so excited for Kevin. I actually knew a guy who went to Poland on his mission in college. He had great stories to tell! I am so glad you guys have a blog to share all these fun moments with everyone!

awesome vid, what a great idea! Andrew said when he opened his mission call to Russia his mom started crying -like, not in a good way- and didn't stop for like 10 minutes. he said it was really awkward. glad he doesn't have that on video. :) We are so proud of you Kevin!
What a memory to document! Very exciting Kevin. I'm so proud of you and thrilled for your MOM to be a mommy of missionary. Your service will bring her great joy.
No wonder I can't remember when Jarom opened his letter to extend the mission call. Those were the days!
