As it turned out... I came in 11th out of 82 in my division. I had no expectations, I just wanted to do my best to give myself a time I could improve on my next race. They gave us GPS ankle bracelets to track our times. They had photographers posted throughout the race to take our pictures. Here are few pictures that I got from them. They didn't take any good pictures of me on my bike, but they did get me coming out of the lake (I look tired) and on the trail running and at the finish line.
I realized when I finished, that I will jump up a division this summer when I turn 50. So I looked up the times for those in that division, and found that with my current times, I would have placed first in that division. So I guess if I can't get better....get older. It was really fun and have started swim training to improve my time for the next one coming up in May.
