A Week to Remember

This is a slideshow of a trip that Brandon and I took to Mammoth Mountain a few weeks ago. This trip was supposed to be a trip to the Zion Narrow's in Utah with our Young Men's group. One by one the boys dropped out to where it was down to Brandon and I. Perfect! We were now free to go where we really wanted to go. We spent the first few days backpacking into the high sierra's. We had no destination in mind. We headed out on the trail and passed countless lakes along the way before we settled into a spot at elev. 10,700 ft. which served as base camp and looked like a postcard.
We caught more fish than we could count and just had a blast hiking during the day and fishing along the way. The second part of the trip took us to Mammoth Mountain ski/bike park resort where we spent the next three days testing our skills on their trails. We where having so much fun everyday that we never took the time to stop for lunch. We were first on the gondola and last to get off. We hated to come home. At night we had just about as much fun. The video highlights a few moments that we stopped to take some pictures. We can't wait to go again.

Sweet video. Makes me want to go camping, and biking...if I could down-hill. PS - Jason, your wall ride photos look even higher in the vid. Nice work, old man.

we had some good times in mammoth when we were kids. love it. beautiful! i wish i were brave enough to take kids but i am SUCH a wimp. we are more "need to have access to clean toilets within 12 hours" kind of campers. maybe as the kids get older. you guys are inspiring!

Love the video. You guys are intense mountain bikers. Those runs would scare me to death. I'm impressed with the huge fish you caught too. Glad we could see the video.
