Our trip to the MTC

Leslie, Kevin and I left on January 5th for the MTC in Provo, Utah. We had a great trip. We went to the Salt Lake Temple the night before he reported. We met the temple president while we were in the temple, who gave us a tour. He recognized Kevin as a missionary-to-be, and gave us the royal treatment.

Kevin entered the MTC on Wednesday at 12:00pm. He couldn't have been more excited to be there.

This biking picture has nothing to do with anything. We just liked it. In fact Kevin won't even be riding bikes while in Poland. This is probably the last bike he will be next to for a couple of years.

All of us entering the MTC at the front doors. The entrance had been converted into a huge processing center. It was fun remembering how it was when I went through. It didn't feel like 30 years ago. The grounds and buildings didn't look much different to me.

Kevin showing off his new name tag. We were told that the orange dot was called a dork dot. It helps the staff identify the real greenies. I wonder how many seconds it took him before he peeled it off.

Kevin didn't want to take this picture, but his mom wanted him to point to Poland. He was afraid they would put another dork dot on his name tag. We were met at the MTC by my brother, Randy, who happened to be working at BYU that day. He was nice enough to come and be our support group and photographer. We're glad he could come and share the day with us.
Kevin couldn't have been more ready and prepared to enter the MTC. He is looking forward to a great adventure and had a huge smile on his face the entire day!

I only scrapbook a little, I am pretty much "all done". I've started to do some digital scrapbooking, with a CM program, it's really cool and quick too. Tell Jason we miss his painting skills around here! We are remodeling as usual and it's hard to find a really good painter!

Great temple picture. I liked reading his first letter as well. Kevin will be a great inspiration as Ian, Brandon and Seth get ready for their missions.
